Why a Client Might be Hesitant for a Logo Change
Sometimes a client will come to you for a complete overhaul of their website. But… then they will send you their logo that was designed in the 60’s.
Depending on the size of their company a new logo change may be out of the question because there are too many factors. If you have over 1000 employees, the cost doesn’t just stop at the logo re-design. Signage, ads, business cards etc will drive up the cost. You probably won’t be able to convince them of anything unless they specifically come to you to redo their logo.
For smaller to medium size businesses who insist on keeping their unattractive logo, sometimes it’s easier to convince them of a “ logo refresh”. You can keep the same concept but update it to fit in more with the current era.
And then sometimes you will have to work on a website and cringe when it’s time to put that horrible logo into the header. 🤣
